New Faces

Samuel arrived just today from South India. He's going to try one of the school's here. If his Hindi is sufficient, he'll stay. He's in the 9th grade.
This beautiful baby boy belongs to our friend LL. It's my first time to see him. Lindsey brought her friend Mary Beth, who is visiting from the U.S.
I shared the latest news about our ministry with Mary Beth and LL.
Mary Beth visited with the children. Aniket is loving on Ashish!
Sudrahsan wanted in on the photo.
The kids didn't mind a break from homework time to visit with Mary Beth. Deborah is our volunteer, who comes everyday for two hours to help the kids.

Satiya and Dipanshu love to have their photo taken, and then look at the picture!
We love having visitors and the chance to explain our ministry. We are dependent on the people God lays on their hearts to help our children. If you come to Shimla, please come to visit.

Easter Celebrations

He is Risen! Alleluia! Easter blessings to you all. Thank you for following our blog. Here are photos of some of our Easter weekend.
The children were invited back to American Aunty's for an Easter celebration. Aunty told the Easter Story in several ways. The younger kids had stickers to make scenes of the Resurrection morning. All of the children made photo frames. Each of our children is unique and special.

Sarah and Evangeline made flower vase picture frames. Friends of Aunty L. sent the kits from America for the children to make.
Pearly displays her "God made me special" photo frame.
Jevan is proud of his photo frame.
Satiya had some help from an American uncle -a friend of Aunty L.'s.
All Happy needs is a photo!
Here is another of our new boys.
Aunty served cookies, cupcakes, juice, and chips to the children.

The older kids served the younger ones, then finished off the food! Two of my husbands nephews are visiting from the south. They joined the other children at Aunty L.'s party.
Uncle J. and Uncle C. hid eggs for the kids to find. It is an American Easter tradition.

Aunty L. hands out Easter gift bags to the kids, as well as the new bucket.
Sarah and Rani check out their gifts.
 Heading for home
Aniket finds some of his neighborhood friends. Uncle gave them Tootsie Pops from America.

Abishek and Anju are happy about the sweets.
Christy says good-bye to Marley. She will go back to boarding school on Sunday evening.
Gifts and crafts in hand, the children haed back to the home.
Easter Sunday morning, all of the children except little Diviya who is ill attended the service at Christ Church up on the ridge.
Deborah is staying with Aunty L. She is volunteering at the home, helping the children with their homework. These girls sang in the choir at the Good Friday service.
This is the church we attend. My husband is in charge of the English Sunday service.

"Happy" also sings in the choir. He is one of our new boys.

 The view from the ridge.
The older children sing in the choir on Sundays. Jevan poses for a photo after Good Friday service. The children were invited to another family's home for Easter dinner. We are thankful to God for those who care about our children.
Happy Easter!

Reunion

Christy is currently boarding at Auckland House School in Shimla. She recently came home for her first visit since boarding. Marley was so happy to see her. Pearly went to visit Marley as well. They took care of Marley for two months while his mommy was out of the country.
Christy wasn't the only one happy to see Marley. My sister and I were so glad to have Marley come back to visit with our friend. Pearly is holding Marley.
